Located in the MGF Mega City mall, the Pall Mall store in Gurgaon presents a strategically designed retail space showcasing the brand’s premium menswear merchandise.

Utilising aluminium fluted panels, powder-coated in a distinctive teal colour—the brand’s signature hue—the façade creates a striking visual presence within the predominantly commercial context. This strategy effectively distinguishes the space from adjacent banking and retail programmes while maintaining the brand’s visual language.

The store is a two-level space spanning approximately 3,500 square feet. A double-height entrance immediately creates a sense of grandeur. This is further enhanced by the treatment of the interior walls, which feature a premium green colour executed in textured paint, maintaining an understated elegance.

The store’s layout is divided into distinct zones, each serving a specific purpose. The ground floor houses fabrics, ready-to-wear Indian and English formal wear, while the mezzanine level is dedicated to customised Indian ethnic wear. This strategic zoning allows for a clear, intuitive shopping experience, creating clear circulation paths and merchandising zones.

Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a striking double-height rack displaying blazers on mannequins. This is complemented by a sculptural staircase leading to the upper level.

The ceiling composition features a wooden rafter design in a coffered arrangement. This allows for easy and careful integration of channels for lighting, smoke detectors, and CCTV systems. The use of wicker within the gypsum-painted ceiling adds texture and richness while maintaining a clean, symmetrical appearance.

The wooden flooring throughout the space features a herringbone pattern, adding a textural touch to the interiors.

The material palette reflects the brand’s premium positioning through the calculated use of materials. Wood, mirrors, and metallic accents create a luxurious atmosphere. The leather upholstery, fabric racks, and display systems maintain consistency with established brand guidelines, referencing solutions developed for Pall Mall, Noida.

While the palette adds to the sophistication, so does the strategic placement of mirrors on the deep beams. By cladding them with mirrors, the beams, which could have disrupted the visual flow of the space, create an illusion of expansiveness above.

A notable design element is the antique chandelier at the entrance, placed above a mirrored ceiling. This creates a visual illusion of increased grandeur and expands the space’s visual depth.

The store design demonstrates particular sensitivity to user comfort through the placement of seating zones. A dedicated consultation area addresses the specific requirements of the wedding season, facilitating family discussions and fittings. The ethnic wear department employs single-tier display systems in brass to accommodate traditional garments of varying lengths. Each zone has its own discrete seating area, ensuring the privacy and comfort of patrons.

The intentional spatial organisation and aesthetic narration through design successfully balances brand identity, operational efficiency, and customer experience, creating a refined retail environment.
